Terms of Service
Effective August 9, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Skena Labs AB, organisation number 559285-0654, a company registered in Sweden ("Skena Labs", "we"). They govern your use of our websites, Skena accounts, the Skena Servant desktop app, Servant Pro, and Skena Cloud. By creating an account or using the services, you accept these terms.
1. The services
- Skena Servant, a free desktop app for macOS that runs AI-powered automations locally on your computer.
- Servant Pro, a paid subscription that adds the Team workspace, customizable starter coworkers, and a phone companion and cloud relay that connect to your own desktop.
- Skena Cloud, hosting for apps you publish with the Skena builder, and, when it launches, cloud-run Servant automations.
- A Skena account ties these together and carries your subscription.
Parts of the services are in early access. Features marked "coming soon", "beta", or "early access" may change, be interrupted, or be withdrawn.
2. Your account
You must provide a real email address and verify it. Keep your credentials safe: you are responsible for activity under your account and for the devices you approve. Tell us at hello@skena.ai if you suspect unauthorized access. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) and legally able to enter into this agreement.
3. Software license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Skena desktop apps for your own use, including internal business use. The software is licensed, not sold; Skena Labs and its licensors keep all intellectual-property rights.
You may not copy (except for backup), modify, redistribute, sell, rent, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the apps, except where the law expressly permits it despite this limitation.
The companion app is distributed through app stores; the store's standard terms also apply to that copy.
4. Subscriptions, billing & price changes
- Paid features (such as Servant Pro) are subscriptions billed through our payment provider, Stripe. Skena Labs never stores your card details.
- Prices are shown before you buy. Where a price is displayed per month but billed in a longer cycle (for example quarterly), the actual billing cadence and amount are shown at checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in the billing portal in your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and you keep access until then.
- We may change prices and plan structures. If a change affects an active subscription, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before it takes effect at your next renewal, if you do not agree, cancel before the new price applies.
- Free tiers and early-access offerings are provided at our discretion and may be changed or ended.
- Taxes (such as VAT) may be added where the law requires.
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. For digital services the service begins when you subscribe; if you withdraw within 14 days, we refund the part of the period you have not used. To withdraw, email hello@skena.ai.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not use the services for anything unlawful, or to host or transmit unlawful content.
- Do not abuse shared infrastructure: no circumventing quotas, entitlements, or security controls; no interfering with the relay, other customers' apps, or our systems; no unsolicited bulk messaging.
- Servant executes automations that you, or an agent acting on your instructions, author. You are responsible for what your automations do, including complying with the terms of the websites and services they interact with.
- Do not resell or offer the services to third parties as your own service without our written agreement.
We may set and enforce usage quotas (for example on apps, storage, scheduled jobs, and devices).
6. Your content and hosted apps
You keep ownership of the apps, code, automations, and data you create. For Skena Cloud, you grant us the limited license needed to host, store, back up, transmit, and display your apps and their data, solely to operate the services.
You are responsible for your hosted apps: their content, their legality, and their users. If your app collects personal data, you are its data controller and must provide your own privacy policy; we act as your processor as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may remove or disable content or apps that are unlawful or violate these terms; where reasonable, we will notify you first.
7. Suspension and termination
You can stop at any time: cancel your subscriptions and delete your account.
We may suspend or terminate your account, or specific apps or features, if you materially breach these terms; if payment for a paid service fails; if your use creates security, legal, or operational risk for us or other customers; or if the law requires it. Suspension pauses your hosted apps and blocks paid features while it lasts. Where practical, we will notify you with the reason and, for problems that can be fixed, give you a chance to fix them first.
If your account is terminated, we may permanently delete your hosted apps and account data 30 days after termination, export anything you need before then. Backups age out on the same schedule.
We may discontinue a service, or materially reduce it, with at least 30 days' notice. If you have prepaid for a period beyond a discontinuation, we will refund the unused part.
8. Third-party services
The services interoperate with third parties you choose: your own AI agent vendors, MCP servers, app stores, webhook providers, and the sites and services your automations interact with. Those relationships are yours and are governed by their terms; we are not responsible for them. AI model files you download come from their publishers under their own licenses.
9. Disclaimers
The services are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and current plans come without an uptime guarantee.
Servant runs automations and AI on your computer, at your direction. AI output can be wrong, and automations act on real systems. Review what you approve, use the built-in approval gates, and supervise automations that can have real-world effects. To the extent permitted by law, you use them at your own risk.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law: our total liability for claims arising out of or relating to these terms is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or €50; and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as lost profits, lost business, or loss of data.
These limits do not apply where liability cannot be limited by law, for example for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and they do not affect consumers' statutory rights.
11. Indemnity
If you use the services in the course of a business, you will indemnify Skena Labs against third-party claims arising from your apps, your content, or your breach of these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or in the product before they apply. If you keep using the services after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, stop using the services before they take effect, if a material change is to your detriment and you have prepaid, we will refund the unused part affected by the change.
13. General
If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. We may assign this agreement as part of a corporate transaction; you may not assign it without our consent. If we do not enforce a term, that is not a waiver of it.
14. Governing law and disputes
Swedish law governs these terms, and disputes are resolved by the Swedish courts. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your home courts. Consumers in Sweden can also turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, arn.se); consumers elsewhere in the EU can use their national consumer dispute-resolution bodies.
